Water Movement - Digital Animation

I would like to see a tutorial for digital animation tutorial covering the movement of water:

- Puddle (as it is raining)
- Ripples in a pond
- Ocean water rolling up to the shore
- Ocean waves

I am interested in how the water moves (i.e. with ripples the ones further away animate slower) as well the darks and light color showing depth.

Also - how the color palette varies between the ocean, lakes, ponds or even rain puddles.
